Founding (2024):
The Wrecking Balls were founded in early 2024 by a spirited group of volleyball enthusiasts at Lithko. Fueled by a shared passion for the game and a strong sense of camaraderie, the team quickly made waves in the local league. Their high-energy play style and infectious team spirit earned them a loyal following.

First Three Seasons (2024):
In their debut year, the Wrecking Balls competed in three thrilling seasons. The first two were hosted at Shoreline Social, where the team rapidly became a fan favorite. Despite being newcomers, they showcased impressive skill and teamwork, finishing strong in both campaigns. For the third season, the team transitioned to a new venue—50 West—offering upgraded facilities and drawing even larger crowds. This move marked a turning point, as the team continued to grow in both performance and popularity.

Challenging Conditions and Growth (2025):
The 2025 season brought new challenges and learning experiences. The Early Spring season was marked by frigid temperatures, with players battling frozen hands and feet on the court. Despite the harsh conditions, the Wrecking Balls pushed through and secured a respectable 5th place finish out of 13 teams.

As the weather warmed up for the Early Summer season, the team faced a different kind of challenge—finding their rhythm. While the competition was fierce and the team struggled to hit their stride, they remained resilient and committed, finishing 14th out of 17 teams. These experiences have only strengthened their resolve and deepened their bond as a team.

Looking Ahead:
With their beloved mascot, Miley Cyrus, still cheering from the sidelines, the Wrecking Balls remain a symbol of community pride and perseverance. Their journey continues to inspire young athletes at Lithko, and they’re more determined than ever to bounce back stronger.

The team is now preparing for the third summer season, which kicks off on July 16th, 2025. With renewed energy, a focus on fundamentals, and a hunger to climb the standings, the Wrecking Balls are ready to bring the heat—both literally and figuratively. Fans can expect exciting matches, big plays, and plenty of heart as the team looks to make this their best season yet.
